Sunday in the East: Columbia Road Flower Market

What better was to brighten a dreary Sunday in London than to go to the Columbia Road Flower market? Which is precisely what stylish sis and I did last weekend. The rain, try as it might, did nothing to dampen our spirits as we stepped off the number 8 bus from Bethnal Green and found ourselves in amongst the beautiful colours and smells of the market:

Stylish sis bought a potted sunflower and a gerbera plant for her windowsill:

And a gorgeous bouquet of freesias and peonies:

As the rain began to fall heavier, we decided to take cover at the Hackney City Farm café, Frizzante, for their wonderful big farm breakfast:
